Having hubby working full time (again) as a high school teacher means that there will be extra money for savings and travelings.

You know, I miss long car rides so much. Since hubby lost his full time job a while ago, we had stopped traveling often to other states where our family members are living.

For me, long car rides are fun; I love to take road trips. Well, actually I used to hate long car rides many years ago when there was no such thing called portable DVD player.

Time in the car was so boring that it took forever to get from my house to my family’s house. It only took thirty minutes, but thirty minutes felt like three hours!

Since hubby bought the very first portable DVD player, road trips have become fun to have.

Was it difficult for hubby to pick the first DVD player? Well, not really. He hopped over to Amazon.com, typed in ‘portable DVD players’ and there he saw different brand names of DVD players with different price ranges.

The first portable DVD player he bought was the Coby DVD Portable DVD Player. The video quality, features and accessories were good, but the battery life was awful.

After a few months, the DVD player coughed or hiccuped its way through the viewings before it finally stopped working.

Warehouse Sale For Sony DVP-FX820 Portable DVD PlayerWhen choosing the second portable DVD player, hubby was very particular about the battery power; he wanted one that came with an adapter so that no unnecessary money would be spent on buying batteries.

The battery of this Sony DVP-FX820 8-Inch Portable DVD Player can last 5 hours at medium brightness, meaning which two movies should work fine before the low battery symbol shows.

You know, it pays to spend a little more money when buying a portable DVD player just for reasons of playback. This Sony portable DVD player is with multiple format disc playback.
