This year is slightly different from the previous years. Previously retailers and manufacturers slashed their prices on the day after Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday, to push sales. Then after Thanksgiving weekend, prices usually bounced back to normal levels.
This year is different from the previous years mainly because of obvious weakening economy this holiday season. There are deep discount sales and promotions being carried out through the end of the year. This means shoppers, you and I who are looking for Plasma TV deals, netbook sales or digital camera bargains could have several extra weeks of lower-than-usual prices to find the best deal.
Also stay tuned and wait for more aggressive deals from Black Friday through December. You will see Black Friday prices continue all the way through December.
Besides that, there will be more promotional selling days between Black Friday and Christmas. If you wait to buy until after the holiday season, you may get even bigger price cuts.
